About me

Hi everyone, 

I'm Moritz and I'm passionate about IT security. During my bachelor's degree in computer science, I worked in IT support for a few years before delving deeper into IT security. I am currently the IT security coordinator at a medium-sized company in Germany and help to secure our IT systems against cyber attacks. I am also studying for a Master's degree in Cyber Security alongside my job to deepen my knowledge. 

My interest in IT security arose not only from the growing threat on the internet, but also from a key experience: I witnessed first-hand how a hacker attack led to a total outage. One morning, I wanted to start the working day with a cup of coffee - and suddenly nothing worked. Since then, I've wanted to make sure that this doesn't happen to any more companies and I want to provide information accordingly. Outside of IT, I'm interested in sport and am a big NFL fan. When I'm not writing about new security topics, I try to bore my friends or family with the topics, watch American football or travel.
